We are holding a Swishing Event at the Barley Townhouse to support the TREAT fund – see our TREAT page on this website.
Date: 7.00 pm on Wednesday 28th September 2016
Place: The Town House, Barley.
Please come and join us for a glass of wine and nibbles, cost £5.00. There will be a raffle, a guest speaker on breast cancer and of course clothes to buy – also we would be grateful for any donations of good quality clothes too!
Look forward to seeing you there, or if you would just like to make a donation the details are on the TREAT website page.
General practice nurses work in GP surgeries as part of the primary healthcare team, which might include doctors, pharmacists and dietitians.
In larger practices, you might be one of several practice nurses sharing duties and responsibilities. In others, you might be working on your own, taking on many roles.
Keep an eye out for our very own Nurse Practitioner Diana Walters!
Specialist consultants Mr Amit Agrawal, Oncoplastic breast surgeon, and Mr Robin Crawford, Gynaecological Oncologist, will be hosting an informative joint talk on woman’s health issues that is free to attend.
Mr Agrawal will look at breast cancer, symptoms and tests and current management and the birth of modern day oncoplastic surgery. Mr Robin Crawford will focus on gynaecological oncology issues.
To book your free place please telephone 01223 266987 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We have a new section called Self Help where you will find information on services you can access directly. Please see The Psychological Wellbeing Service poster where you can now self-refer for counselling or CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) to help with depression, stress, obsessive compulsive disorder and low self-esteem.
Also please see the poster on Be Self-Care Aware which recommends items to keep in your medicine cabinet. Click on the Self Help tab under News and Info to view these. Hard copies of both these are available at Barley and Market Hill surgeries.
Market Hill Surgery will be re-opening on MONDAY 30TH NOVEMBER 2015.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our patients for your continued support and patience during this very difficult time and look forward to seeing you in our newly refurbished surgery.
