Swishing for Barley Surgery

We are holding a Swishing Event at the Barley Townhouse to support the TREAT fund – see our TREAT page on this website.

Date:  7.00 pm on Wednesday 28th September 2016

Place:  The Town House, Barley.

Please come and join us for a glass of wine and nibbles, cost £5.00.  There will be a raffle, a guest speaker on breast cancer and of course clothes to buy – also we would be grateful for any donations of good quality clothes too!

Look forward to seeing you there, or if you would just like to make a donation the details are on the TREAT website page.

Telephone Problems

We would like to apologise for the difficulties patients have been experiencing with the telephone system when trying to contact the surgeries

We are trying very hard to improve this but the fault lies with our provider who is working on it at the moment and it should be fixed in the near future.

Thank you for your continued patience with this!

Thinking of becoming a general practice nurse?

General practice nurses work in GP surgeries as part of the primary healthcare team, which might include doctors, pharmacists and dietitians.
In larger practices, you might be one of several practice nurses sharing duties and responsibilities. In others, you might be working on your own, taking on many roles.

Keep an eye out for our very own Nurse Practitioner Diana Walters!

We have a new section called Self Help where you will find information on services you can access directly. Please see The Psychological Wellbeing Service poster where you can now self-refer for counselling or CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) to help with depression, stress, obsessive compulsive disorder and low self-esteem.

Also please see the poster on Be Self-Care Aware which recommends items to keep in your medicine cabinet. Click on the Self Help tab under News and Info to view these.  Hard copies of both these are available at Barley and Market Hill surgeries.
